A council required subtle feature lighting to highlight 6 metre high landscape features. After a brief examination it was quickly realized that it would be a ridiculous cost option to use 240 lighting in this application. The council officers recognized this and accepted the solar option to provide solar up lighting for the illumination of trees that were to be installed. These up lights are powered by solar energy and illuminate the underside of the palm trees for the Moonee Valley Council in Victoria. Now nearly two years on the electrical system has not failed in any way. The cost of the whole installation was LESS than the cost of just trenching in an area that had power cables, large fibre optic cables and gas mains. In addition the electrical maintenance charges required in that two years is ZERO. Now the death by a thousand cuts maintenance cost need not apply to your installations. But that is not the best part. Read the review after operating 2 years. Click Here |
