One of Australia’s largest companies has a contract to weld rail line into long “strings” (in some cases 600 metres long BEFORE they are transported to site.

Prior to welding the rail must be cleaned. This had been done by 2 men using hand grinders in the past.

AA Sparky recognized how they could automate the process while improving the cleaning process at the same time.

We put the concept to the company who had us design, build, develop the software, install and assist in the commissioning process.

This had a predicted ROI of LESS than 6 months.

Now, well into the next year it is the most reliable part of the process.

What we now know is that an overseas company said that it could not be achieved!! France could not do it……..we did.

Prior to acceptance, the machine concept was tested in conjunction with a laboratory. A video was produced showing multiple options for cleaning.

The fastest method was not the best.

Having selected the method, we made the machine and had it installed in advance of the required date.

The only variations were at the customers request.
